Coaching Plans / Race & Event Planning Support
Scot has been coaching athletes in running and triathlon since 2008. He has coached over 150 athletes from anything from a 5K to an Ultramarathon and sprint to Iron Distance Triathlon. He has coached many athletes to their first Boston Qualifying Marathons. He has served as the head of the endurance program for NF Northeast since 2017 and was the race director for the Apple Run in Belmont, MA from 2018-2023.
Scot has completed countless events of all distances and is an expert in exacting physiological adaptation, instilling confidence, and coming up with training and racing plans to match athletes goals. As one of his athlete's recently said, "I don't need a power word. I have Scot's voice in my head."
He believes training needs to focus as much on an athlete's psychology as it does on physiology and he prides himself in taking pleasure in his athletes accomplishments (maybe even more than they do sometimes).
As Alex Hutchinson says “ ... when the moment of truth comes, science has confirmed what athletes have always intuited. There's more in there, if you're willing to believe it."
