The Presidential Picnic
- 7/16/2021

In the world of Fastest Known Time, when you combine a run with a bike it is known as a picnic.  This past Friday, my friends (Mat & Donal) and I took on and completed what is known as the "Presidential Picnic."  This combined a Presidential Traverse, 7 peaks in NH's White Mountains, with a 27 mile bike back to the car.

The Tripyramids, White Face, and Passaconway Traverse
- Run on 6/19/20
- PR 7:49:18

The Tripyramids, White Face, and Passaconway Traverse is a 22 mile pseudo out and back course from Livermore S Trail head at Waterville Valley to Passaconway and back, incorporating the Tripyramids loop. It hit 4 (North Tripyramids, Middle Tripyramids, White Face, and Passaconway) of the NH 4000 footers and contains just over 7000' climbing.

AMC 3 Huts Loop
- Run on 6/29/19
- PR 12:24:31
- Full Write up - GPS

The AMC 3 huts loop is a route that ties together the northeastern most 3 huts in the AMC hut system: Carter Notch, Lake in the Clouds, and Madison Springs.  For those who dislike the logistics of doing a point to point traverse or would like more experience before tackling the full 8 hut traverse, this route is for you.  In addition to the 3 huts, the route summits Wildcat A and D, Gulf Peak*, Washington, Clay*, Jefferson, Adams, and Madison (* Not 4000' footers).  The route is 26 miles with 11,000' climbing.

Moriah Carters Wildcats Picnic

- 10/14/18
- PR 7:47:38
- Full Write up - Run GPS - Bike GPS

The Moriah Carters Wildcats traverse covers 6 of NH 4000+ peaks: Mount Moriah, Middle Carter, South Carter, Carter Dome, Wildcat A and Wildcat D. We chose to stick to the Appalachian Trail for the day starting in Shelburne off Route 2 (You can also take the Carter Moriah Trail which starts near the center of Gorham and meets up with the AT at the summit of Moria).  The trail contains 8000' / 6800' of climbing / descent (from North to South).

The Pemi Loop
- Run on 7/29/17, 6/30/2018, 6/4/2021 (Pemi+)
- PR: 9:20:21

The Pemi loop is 31.5 miles with over 9000' of climbing.  It starts in the Lincoln Woods right off the Kancamagus highway in NH.  In 2005, Backpacker magazine named it the second hardest day hike in America.  The loop summits 10 peaks of which 8 are over 4000': Flume, Liberty, Little Haystack, Lincoln, Lafayette, Garfield, South Twin, Guyot, Bond, and Bondcliff.
